Holly Humphrey, a distinguished champion for interprofessional engagement and compassionate care, was selected to receive the 2026 Geraldine "Polly" Bednash Lectureship Award. This honor recognizes leaders who have made scholarly contributions to nursing, health care, higher education, and/or interprofessional engagement.
Dr. Humphrey, who passed away in April 2025, became the eighth president of the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation in 2018. She played a lead role in defining the Foundation’s priorities, which include promoting diversity, equity, and belonging; increasing collaboration among future health professionals; and preparing future health professionals to navigate ethical dilemmas.
